Referencing the frame geometry of the OM-1, the OM-P1 adds the proven Pinion 9 or 12 speed internal gearing drivetrain which can be either chain driven or coupled with the Gates carbon belt. This drive system answers the call for a single speed chainline and a maintenance free drivetrain suited to muddy and winter conditions, while adding nearly 200% range over a traditional 1X drivetrain.
The OM-1P is currently in development, contact us for more information.
Solace Cycles OM1-P on the ADK trail ride
Michael Intrabartola puts the Solace Cycles OM-1P through its paces on the third annual grand depart of The Adirondack Trail Ride (TATR). Read his thoughts on this custom titanium hardtail built around a Pinion Gearbox. Plus, get the backstory on TATR, of which Michael also happens to be the creator…
In addition to the Pinion Drivetrain, the OM-P1 comes with all of the features of the OM-1.
Two Distinct Geometries
The OM-1 is built up with a RockShox Pike 130-160 Dual Travel Fork, giving the bike two distinct geometries. In 130mm mode, the bike has a 68.5° which creates a nimble and forward-weighted ride allowing you to climb with confidence. In 160mm mode, the bike loosens up to a 67° degree angle, leaning the ride back to descend with ease.
Shortened and Adjustable Chainstay
The shortest chainstay in the industry is also adjustable, with rocker rear dropouts allowing chainstay lengths between 410-425mm for different geometry options and compatiability with 1x, Single Speed, Rohloff Belt drivetrain and more.
The Solace Yoke
To accommodate the clearance demands of this short chainstay we designed, fabricated and stress tested a symmetric plated yoke allowing clearance for 27.5 x 3” or 29 x 2.6” tires. A previously impossible combination of plus size tires with a 410mm chainstay.
Clean, Raw and Bulletproof
All of our frames are available as raw Titanium or Double Butted 4130 Cro-Moly Steel.
